We generate and promote initiatives whose main axis is the role of education in industrial development. We debate on the education agenda and its relation to economic growth, technological innovation, productive transformation and competitiveness. The members of the department are small and medium businessmen, representatives of regional and sectorial chambers, as well as members of academic institutions dedicated to training in science and technology and the link between these disciplines.
We coordinate workshops and debate and planning forums on training programs for work. Based on our work with sectorial representatives from the different regions of the country, we address technological changes in productive processes and think how to develop the skills to apply them at all educational levels. We have re-launched the “Carlos Pellegrini” prize for innovative projects linking education and industry.
We strengthen the link between the educational system and industry through the divulgation of good practices and advisory on educational practices. With this goal, we also carry out trainings and raise consciousness among companies and chambers.
All business entities and chambers associated to UIA can appoint members to take part in the activities organized by the department.
