We analyze, debate and make contributions to policies that aim to improve logistics and transport in order to foster industrial development. The department is composed by representatives of small, medium and large enterprises and representatives of regional and sectorial chambers appointed by their entities.
We hold periodic work meetings in order to discuss alternatives of policies in the matter, encounters with officials of the Ministry of Transport and of other organisms, such as the National Highway Administration, Belgrano Cargas and the General Administration of Ports (AGP). We also summon different specialists from universities and international bodies in order to analyze specific problems related to highway, railway and waterway transportation.
We carry out a permanent follow-up of the statistics of cargo transport in its different modalities. We also monitor the evolution of the costs of cargo transport and present requests and claims before the pertinent governmental bodies.
All business entities and chambers associated to UIA can appoint members to take part in the activities organized by the department.
